Construction workers break ground on assisted living facility in Yakima
It’s been more than 10 years since Yakima has seen a new assisted living center, but on Monday construction crews broke ground on one they hope will be completed by this time next year. Once completed, Fieldstone Orchardwest, will sit on Englewood Avenue next to Fieldstone Memory Care.

Fieldstone to host Paint & Sip fundraiser
Alzheimer’s disease is the third leading case of death in Washington state. As an effort to raise awareness and funds for research, Fieldstone Memory Care will be hosting the “Paint & Sip” fundraiser event on August 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. For a $45 sign-up fee, participants can enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres while creating their own piece of art.
